About Me

Pirlo Wang
I am a calligraphy artist residing in the serene landscapes of South Australia, where the ever-changing seasons and peaceful rural surroundings offer me continuous inspiration. I feel truly blessed to live in a place where nature is not only a backdrop but a constant source of creative energy that enriches my artistic journey.
Originally from Huizhou in Anhui Province, a region steeped in history as the birthplace of three of the Four Treasures of the Study in Chinese culture, my roots are deeply connected to the essence of traditional artistry. After spending a decade immersed in the fast-paced IT industry in the vibrant city of Beijing, I eventually found my way to Australia. With a keen eye for aesthetics and an appreciation for fine details, I had the honor of participating in numerous art exhibitions, with my works featured in local art galleries. This chapter of my life marked the true beginning of my artistic path, a period for which I am profoundly grateful.
With the rich creative inspiration, I use the traditional calligraphy brush to write poems, lyrics, famous quotes, sacred scriptures of Buddhism, Lunar New Year spring couplet, logo design and so on.
Today, while balancing a part-time role in digital marketing, I am fully dedicated to growing my own business and nurturing my calligraphy practice. From selecting the finest materials to crafting each stroke by hand, mounting, framing, photographing, and even packing and dispatching my works—I am involved in every step of the process. I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of quality and infuse 100% of my passion into every piece I create, be it a large-scale original or a small custom commission.
“My greatest joy comes from writing beautiful characters in my own calligraphy style — and knowing that it brings others a sense of peace and happiness.” With this spirit, Pirlo Calligraphy is devoted to sharing positive energy and serving people through the art of handwriting and traditional calligraphy.
All my works are lovingly crafted and handmade in my studio in Adelaide, South Australia.
